Mixon is an SC Arts Commission visual arts fellow\; Artist (specializing in pottery\, clay sculptures\, and mixed media)\; Classroom art teacher with a BA in art\, two MA degrees in Elementary Education\, and Reading with an emphasis in Elementary Education. Teaching philosophy: The study of art is an excellent way to promote creativity\, self-esteem\, and self-expression. EVERY CHILD IS SPECIAL.
